Zedmed's Heidi integration uses voice input to generate AI-enhanced clinical notes. A Practice plan is required to run Heidi on any PMS software, including Zedmed, and when you sign up using Zedmed, you will start with a 30-day free trial.

Requirements
Zedmed v38
Heidi is supported in Zedmed version v38 and later. There is no additional cost to your Zedmed subscription.
WebView2 & Microsoft Edge
WebView2 is included with Zedmed. No action is required, however, your IT support may want to be aware of this requirement.
Users need access to Microsoft Edge.
Display
Due to the screen space required, Heidi requires a minimum of 1360x768 at 100% Scale (1920 x 1080 recommended).
Sign up for Heidi
To use Heidi, each practitioner needs their own paid subscription. To subscribe, select the Set up Heidi link in Clinical's Heidi AI widget. You can also use Heidi's 30-day free trial via the link in the Heidi widget (below).
Microphones
You will need a microphone to capture the voice input. If you want audio of a patient talking, you will need a microphone that can capture audio from the room (in person) or your device's speakers (telehealth). For best results, use an external microphone that can pick up a patient in the room or audio from your speakers. Some Practitioners have reported success with an Elgato Wave microphone or a Razer Seiren. We recommend any good-quality microphone within your budget.
For Zedmed Cloud
The first time you use Heidi, select Allow in the browser microphone dialogue. Then, click the Microphone icon in the cloud menu to turn it blue (on) each time you use Heidi.
Enabling/disabling Heidi
Heidi is enabled by default and can be disabled in Clinical > Tools > My Options > Enable Heidi Transcription. This tick box adds the Heidi widget to Zedmed Clinical.
Log in with an existing Heidi account
Heidi requires a Practice plan to run on PMS software, including Zedmed.

To log into Heidi with an existing Practice plan:
- Open Zedmed Clinical
- On the Heidi widget, select Set up Heidi in a new window
Your internet browser will open at the Heidi login page.
- Enter the email address registered for your Heidi account and select Sign in.
- Enter your Heidi account password and select Continue.
Log in and create a 30-day trial account
This section shows you how to sign up for a Heidi Practice plan from Zedmed. The first 30 days are free so you can try the product. A Practice plan is required to run Heidi on any PMS software, including Zedmed.

To create a Heidi account and log in:
- Open Zedmed Clinical
- On the Heidi widget, select Set up Heidi in a new window
- Your internet browser will open at the Heidi login page.
- Enter the email address you want to sign up with
- Select Sign in.
- On the password page, select Sign up.
- Select Continue.
- Enter the 6-digit code emailed to you.
- Enter a password to use for Heidi.
- Select Continue.
- Complete your Profile and select Continue.
- Select Continue on the Account verified screen.
- Select Continue on the Account linked to Zedmed screen.
- Select Upgrade to Practice to sign up for the Practice subscription.
- Enter your details and select Start Trial.
- The sign-up window will close, and Zedmed will display the Heidi widget.
The page will update to display 'Sign up for Heidi'.
You are now ready to use Heidi. In 30 days, you will be prompted to make payments.
